13 BIPOC Witchy Reads to Welcome in the Fall Season
Librarian witches, psychic witches, and ghost-involved ménages.
Hi Librarygoers!
It’s the fall season, and for me that means breaking out the paranormal reads. I mean, I do read paranormal year long but when the leaves drop I must have a handful of season appropriate reads at my fingertips.
Magic and love, what could be a better combination? Throw in some suspenseful intrigue and you have an absolutely perfect combination. I get my thrill from page turning to find out when they first touch, kiss, hump, or read their enemies for filth.
Not when they’re going to be hunted down by an unhappy ax murder or terrorized by a people eating house.
I try though! Every fall I start a thriller and promptly put it down at the first sign of ick because I know that not only will it not end in a happily ever after, things might go very wrong in between. I do not like to be scared for Halloween and I’m not afraid to say it.
But we don’t have that to worry about in witch romancelandia. These tales are about women finding themselves, using their power for badassery, and things that go bump in the night sending you directly to the arms of the person meant to hold you tight.
On to the recs!

The Tenant, Katrina Jackson
Novella
When he inherits a house out of the blue, nothing is holding him back from ditching town and hightailing it to the small Louisiana town. *From the world building to the adorableness of Mika, this book sets the cozy witch book bar. If you love found families, children as main characters, personality-filled side characters, and a hot librarian, you’ll beg to read this for the first time over and over.
